Supper with Charlie

Sunday,
September 13:
The whole community went to our friend Charlie’s house for a barbeque. Charlie is a wonderful gardener and has a beautiful yard with many flowers. He is also a wonderful cook! Some of his family and other friends were there, and we had a fun time playing cards with his granddaughter. We thank God for such beautiful friends!

First St. Paul Movie Night

Friday,
September 11:

Almost fifty people joined us for our first St. Paul movie night! We watched
"Mother Teresa," and everyone was very moved by her beautiful story. We had a short discussion at the end, and closed with prayer. After, many people stayed to talk and look at books. We were very happy to have so many people join us!

P.S. Watch for our next movie night: October 9 on St. Therese the Little Flower!

St. Louis: Japanese Festival

Monday,
September 7:

Sr. Assumpta, Sr. Rebecca, Sr. Emi, and Emily went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis for the Japanese Festival! We saw a sumo wrestling demonstration, ate yaki soba (fried noodles) for lunch, saw a Japanese drum concert, and much more. Sr. Emi, whose mother is from Japan, was our great tour guide and shared with us many interesting things about her experience of visiting her family in Japan. It is a blessing to live in such an international community among sisters who are so happy to share their culture!
