Happy Feast of St. Paul!

Tuesday,
June 30:
The Pauline Family celebrates the feast of St. Paul on June 30. Today we had a wonderful Mass, and in the evening we had a St. Paul Party! The young women who are here for the St. Paul Summer Program helped to lead games like "Pauline Name That Tune" and "St. Paul Says." It was a beautiful evening of fun, celebration, and community.
P.S. St. Paul the Apostle, pray for us!

St. Paul Summer Program

Tuesday,
June 30:
Since last Thursday, we have had five young women with us for the St. Paul Summer Program. This is a week-long program for high school women who want to learn more about religious life and the Daughters of St. Paul. Emily is a "graduate" of the St. Paul Summer Program, and she is also helping with this year's program. The young women pray with us, take a few classes, experience our mission, and have a lot of fun! Pray for them, and we are praying for you!
P.S. The next St. Paul Summer Program begins on July 6 -- write to us for more information.

Celebrating St. Paul with Our Friends

Sunday,
June 28:
June 29 is the end of the Year of St. Paul! This Sunday we celebrated with a special Mass. The sisters and novices prepared wonderful music, and we invited our friends and benefactors in Boston to come and celebrate with us. Around forty people came for Mass and brunch. At the end of Mass, we took a “miraculous” group picture – miraculous because there were close to a hundred people in it!

Multi-Media Novena to St. Paul

Wednesday,
June 24:

Every year, we prepare for the feast of our patron, St. Paul, by praying a novena to him. This year, each night of our novena, we watch a presentation on a different theme from the life of Paul. Every night, we gather in the Assembly Hall for these reflections. We are praying for you!

St. Paul Talk in Bemus Point

Tuesday,
June 23:

The Year of St. Paul is coming to a close, and I (Emily) was able to celebrate it by giving a talk on St. Paul in my home parish. Some women from my parish and some of my brothers and sisters attended. I spoke about the life and conversion of St. Paul. Then I shared some things that I have learned in reflecting on St. Paul this year.
P.S. How are you celebrating the end of the Pauline Year?

Interesting Window View in Boston

Thursday,
June 18:

Sylwia was studying one night when she looked out her window and saw something very interesting. There was a wild turkey in the tree outside her window! And her window is on the third floor! A postulant's view is very interesting... :)

Vocation Apostolate in Bemus Point, NY

Sunday,
June 14:
I (Emily) am home on vacation with my family in Bemus Point, New York. The pastor of one of the nearby parishes asked me to speak at his parish this past Sunday, the feast of Corpus Christi. I spoke about the Daughters of St. Paul and my own vocation story. I also encouraged the young people to think and pray about a vocation to the priesthood or religious life. The people appreciated my presence very much, since there are no religious sisters in my area. It was very moving and inspiring for me to speak about vocations in my hometown, where my own vocation was born.

Presentation on Our Community in Russia

Wednesday,
June 3:
Sr. Leonora and Sr. Patricia Thomas gave a presentation to the Boston community about their time in our community in Russia. They are both missionaries in Moscow. They shared with us some interesting statistics about the Russian people and the Church in Russia. They also showed many beautiful pictures of the Russian country, the city of Moscow, the churches, and our convent and bookcenter. At the end, they sang the "Hail Mary" in Russian! We continue to pray for our sisters there and for the Pauline mission in Russia!
P.S. Come and travel with us!
