Do you have any advice for girls who have been accepted and are waiting to enter as postulants?

Chelsea and Carly,
I'd be interested in knowing what areas do you study as part of your training and what are the reading lists for those subjects. Also what other books have you read and found useful since becoming a postulant?

My questions are did you look at any other communities while you were in discernment and what were they? What made you look into the Daughters of St. Paul? And also, what ministries were you involved in at your home Parishes?

Hi Carly and Chelsea,
Here are some questions:
~Will you change the names of your Facebook, twitter, instagram, etc. when/if you get your "sister name"?
~Does your community cut their hair after taking the veil? (I am just curious because...you can never tell once they are wearing the veil).
~Did you struggle with the idea when it really hit you that you should consider becoming a sister (I know I did).
~What is your vision for the future of Pauline ministry.

Thanks, and it's okay if you don't answer all of these, I don't mind ;)
Love,
Mary (a.k.a. Lucy) (a teen discerning religious life)

How long does postulancy last? What is your favorite part of being a postulant?

Lastly, do you have any advice for girls discerning the religious life?

God bless!

Do you take religious names or keep your baptismal names?

I'm a novice at a Benedictine monastery in Northwest Missouri, and was posed this question by someone at a vocations night:
"When discerning, how do you reconcile your own will with God's will?"

I thought it was such a great question that I'd give it to you all as well to get your take. Keep up the good work!
