Papal Honor of Knight Commander with Star...

Have you heard of the Knight Commander with Star of the Pontifical Equestrian Order of St. Gregory the Great (www.chivalricorders.org/vatican/gregory.htm)? Well, about a month ago, we were invited to celebrate a great Papal honor bestowed on Dave Mueckl, a friend of our community. On April 25, 2010, Dave (now Sir David Mueckl) was installed as a Knight Commander with Star of the Pontifical Equestrian Order of Saint Gregory the Great. The installation into the order took place at St. Raymond’s Maronite Cathedral (www.straymonds.net). The mass was celebrated by Archbishop Carlson of St. Louis. Several bishops and clergy were present. Thereafter, all who came to the ceremony were invited to enjoy a wonderful dinner at The Cedars (www.cedarsstl.net). Dave has served in the Vatican for several years. Through this honor, it was truly beautiful to see how God calls each one of us to be the ‘very best we can be’ in our love and service of the Lord in Holy Mother Church – what a calling!

P.S. How has God called you to defend the Catholic Faith?
