Friday, November 13:Every month we invite people to come to our convent for our St. Paul movie night. This month we watched
"Padre Pio: Miracle Man". Our evening began at about 6:00pm with pizza and popcorn. We had almost 50 people join our "party"! The movie really introduced us into knowing Padre Pio: his upbringing, personality, spirituality, life struggles and tremendous graces granted by Our Lord. Padre Pio truly suffered many difficulties in his life especially his health. All in all, Padre Pio willingly surrendered himself to Jesus and bore the wounds of Christ, the Stigmata, for 50 years. Through St. Pio, we learned how to more readily embrace our suffering for the love of Christ with complete dedication to Him who has loved us and given Himself totally for us. What a humble and simple man of God, such a model for our time. St. Padre Pio, pray for us!
